New Technology Experts: We say that sustainability is a given, not a bragging point. We say this because we see that green architecture and design has become the flavor of the month, and professionals are suggesting that if we become car-free, waste-free and carbon-neutral, all our problems will be solved. We disagree, and have seen some awful places that meet the green standard of sustainability. Having said that, to make sustainability a given means finding the best proven systems for handling all the aspects of the VillageTown that come under the banner of environmental impact. There are some brilliant systems out there that do not get traction because their target market - local governments - tend to be wary of anything new, and have little incentive to doing things much different than they way they always have.
